The Poudre River/ Red Feather Lakes Area is located a few minutes northwest of Fort Collins Colorado and extends for thousands of square miles These instructions describe how to reach the general area only. If you are interested in visiting a specific business location, please locate their ID number on the map below or contact them for exact instructions to their doorstep.
Poudre River Route:
Come North or South on I-25 until you reach Exit 269B which is also the highway 14 and/or the Mulberry street exit to Fort Collins. Head West 4.5 miles until you come to Hwy 287 which is also College avenue. (all the streets have at least two names which adds to the confusion.) Turn right (North) follow Hwy 287 as it curves West and then back North go 8.5 miles until you come to the turnoff for Hwy 14 West which is also Poudre Canyon Road. There will be a Conoco gas station locally known as Ted's Place. Turn west at Ted's and head into the mountains.
Red Feather Lakes Route:
Once you turn onto Hwy 287 North, continue on Hwy 287 past the Conoco station for about 10 miles. Look for signs for Red Father Lakes, Boy Scout Ranch Rd. and CR 74E. Turn left on CR 74E. The FORKS Restaurant and gas pumps will be on the corner. Continue on CR 74E (also called Red Feather Lakes Rd.) for 23 miles until you reach the village of Red Feather Lakes.
Short Directions:
I-25 to exit 269B, West on Hwy 14, North on Hwy 287, West on Hwy 14 for the Poudre River Route or continue and turn left on CR 74E for the Redfeather Lakes Route. We look forward to meeting you.
